Treatment Approach
Who We Help
For over 18 years, our mission has been to empower individuals to overcome unhealthy behaviors and embrace healthier, more balanced lives. We specialize in three interconnected areas:
- Eating Disorders & Disordered Eating
- Co-Occurring conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and PTSD
- Addictions, including Drug and Alcohol Misuse
Our commitment is to guide each client on their unique path to recovery and lasting well-being.
How We Help
We believe the mental health and chemical dependency challenges we treat have biological and genetic roots, influenced by environmental factors. Our guiding motto is: “You didn’t cause it, AND it’s your responsibility to fix it!”
With years of experience, we understand that a hands-on, proactive approach is essential for most of our clients. Life-threatening illnesses like eating disorders and addictions demand urgency—moving too slowly allows the problem to persist. That’s why we address these challenges firmly yet compassionately.
We refuse to negotiate with eating disorders and addictions. Instead, we focus on empowering individuals to confront their issues head-on, providing the tools and support needed to combat the problem rather than colluding with it or denying its existence.
While recovery often takes a long time, we offer immediate hope and a treatment plan for eating disorders and other addictions that gets the client started quickly. We treat the immediate issues first. In the beginning, we are less concerned with how the problem got started and more concerned with quick treatment. As the client moves toward stopping harmful behaviors, we address the distorted thinking and underlying issues that impact recovery. Yes, full recovery is possible!
Because we understand the severity of eating disorders and addictions, we strive to offer immediate appointments virtual or in person and individualized care in a small, nurturing environment. Each treatment plan is developed with the client and, when possible, the family. In addition, our treatment plans extend beyond our practice to include collaboration with primary care doctors, psychiatrists, and other health care providers, as needed.
